Will Donato

Will Donato is a saxophonist on the groove and smooth jazz scene who spent years as a sideman and session musician before recording under his own name. Away from jazz he has worked with Gerald Levert, Wynonna Judd, Richard Marx and Toni Childs, whose 1991 album House Of Hope has his horns on its title track, and his playing features on the soundtracks of Thelma & Louise and The Wedding Planner.

His solo releases began with Will Power in 2004, followed on Innervision Records by albums including Will Call (2007), Laws of Attraction (2009), What It Takes (2010), which he co-produced with Darren Rahn, Universal Groove (2014) and Elevate (2020). His 2019 single Infinite Soul finished that year at No. 17 on Billboard’s year-end Smooth Jazz Songs chart. He plays on several Steve Oliver albums, among them 3D, has performed with Richard Elliot, Brian Simpson and Nick Colionne, and has appeared at New York’s Blue Note and the Seabreeze Jazz Festival.
