Vincent Ingala

Vincent Ingala is a Connecticut saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist whose contemporary jazz grows out of the soul, funk and R&B records he heard growing up. A one-man show won him a devoted home-state audience while he was still at high school, and in 2010, aged 17, he released his independent debut, North End Soul. Its single It Is What It Is reached number 14 on Billboard’s Smooth Jazz Airplay chart and became his breakthrough.

Ingala produces his own records and plays every instrument on them, switching between saxophone, guitar, drums and vocals on stage. Wish I Was There, from Can’t Stop Now (2012), was his first airplay number one, and Billboard ranked him the top smooth jazz airplay artist of 2013. Personal Touch (2018) topped the Contemporary Jazz Albums chart, while its single Snap, Crackle, Pop led the airplay chart for five weeks. Echoes of the Heart, Fire & Desire and Escape With Me followed, with Shadow Dancer holding the airplay top spot for three weeks.
