About Peet Project
Peet Project are a Budapest band blending pop, funk and jazz, formed in October 2009 around violinist and singer Péter Ferencz, known as Peet. Ferencz also plays guitar and produced, mixed and mastered the early albums, writing much of the material with keyboardist Ádám Lőrincz. Their first album, Pink Spirit, appeared on Beagle Beat Records in 2010, and Turn You On (2011) opened with ‘Does the Music Turn You On?’ and included Ferencz’s own ‘Chill With Us!’.
Overseas (2013), Love (2015), The Bad Boys of Budapest (2017), Ups & Downs (2020), Sweet Lemon (2022) and Once Upon a Time (2024) followed. Along the way the band have recorded with Dave Koz on ‘Rosy Cheeks’, with Jonathan Fritzén and Michael Lington, and with Paul Brown, who features on ‘Let’s Do This’. In Hungary they also took part in A Dal, the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, with ‘Kill Your Monster’ in 2017 and ‘Runaround’ in 2018.
